Catch the smallest full Moon of the year tonight

Tonights Full Moon (Thursday January 16), the first full Moon of the year, occurs with the Moon at apogee, when the Moon is farthest in its orbit from Earth. This is the smallest full Moon of 2014, indeed, it is the smallest since the Full Moon of November 18th, 1994 and no Full Moon will be smaller until May 13th, 2052.

So if the heat is not too great, pop outside to see a small wonder lighting up the sky.
